FW 1.20 some problems with remote. Don´t work!
dr.hd16user: In FW 1.20 my Remote don´t work. I had become my F16 Receiver from a friend in Russia (the Original remote was broken by the transport) and bought an Remote here in Germany for the Clarketech 5000 C Plus because it should be the same :-) It works fine till FW 1.18 Now with 1.20 there is no function with my remote and also no function with my universal remote (ONE4ALL) They find no code....! Why?

dr.hd16user: OK thanks! Because my One4All Universal Remote also have no function on my F16 since 1.20! Then i´m waiting for new 1.21 I hope that will be come soon!

dr.hd16user: Somebody has the IR Codes for a Universal Remote? Becaus i have the One4All Remote and i would use it! The Codes from C-Tech and Technomate dont work!
Clarke: Try codes from COOLSAT. Especially 8XXX series.
dr.hd16user: Thanks but i don´t find codes from Coolsat for my One4all! The One4all Support don´t heard from coolsat! They have only Codes for Technomate and Clarketech.
Clarke: Well, I can't tell for your remote, but for logitech remotes you can do the following: 1. ask someone to record original sequence from dr.hd.f16 remote to file 2. send that file to you 3. you download it to your remote but I don't think this will work. I think, in newer firmwares they've changed routine which reads IR sensor of receiver, to disallow users cross-platform firmware usage :)

dr.hd16user: When i use the 5000 C Plus Remote with FW 1.20, when i press any key on the remote i see on the Display thats the symbol blinking. But there is no function. When i wait some minutes then it works to open Menue thats all! For what is the reset button on the remote CT 5000 C? When i press this button there is also no function! Many people use the original remote instead of a universal remote. They can not change that but only the originals go! The company has one4all in Dr.HD requested and got no code. They're angry! I hope it gives a solution soon! So I see myself forced Dr.HD my receiver back to sell and it does not grow more!
Clarke: maybe battery in your remote is low? :) Try codes from SONICVIEW receivers. They are also made by hub-tech.
dr.hd16user: No I am not that stupid! Till FW 1.18 remote works perfect!

Clarke: No it's not a secret. I'm doing research for developing new GUI for CT. So far, I managed to extract and modify all graphical data from firmware. Regarding F16 firmwares on CT, do you get graphic backgrounds ok? all what I get is garbled lines...

Clarke: Yes and I know source of this problem: Technomate & clarke - background in .mpg format F16 - backgrounds in .jpg format so, to have full compatibility, we have to flash complete image, including bootloader?
dr.hd16user: The GUI of F16 ist much better (the best) then other Clones! Also the FW is faster. I also tried the F16 FW on my CT 5000 C Plus. (Version 1.18) It works very fine. No problems with Background or other!
Clarke: Except channel list on F16 firmware is with small and crumsy letters....
dr.hd16user: I can transfer the settings any time. Between F16 and 5000 C Plus or 5000 and F16, they are 100% compatible. The only important thing is the C-Tech Editor Studio to be used. Then, there are no problems! With the STB Tool I also had the small letters!
dr.hd16user: Today i had bought an other Universal Remote, nothing works! The Symbol in the Display of the F16 was blinking but there is no function! I also tried other Codes from Sonicview,Diamond,Strong,Maxplus and and and! NOTHING! I had an 5000 C Plus remote witch till 1.18 Works now also no function! When i buy an original Dr.HD F16 REMOTE does it work? Thanks
Clarke: hehehehe :) Now spectrum analyzer is available in native 1.77 firmware for clarketech! :D

dr.hd16user: Thats write! But the GUI is mutch better than C-Tech!
Clarke: There's one annoying thing also, when using F16 firmware on clarketech Clarketech has 2 bright blue leds on the front, very annoying on the night, but can be turned off from the menu. The problem is, that F16 does not have such function, so you have to either open receiver and turn off leds by hand, or attach some dark scotch tape to leds :D
